A Place For Nature / A Space To Grow
Is an 18 month schedule of site improvements via a program of public workshops & volunteer training to empower and inspire our community by offering access to green space and nature, coming together to create a thriving eco-system for all to enjoy.
These are our 5 strands:
WILDLIFE,
CONSERVATION & HERITAGE SKILLS, REGENERATIVE EDIBLE FUTURE,
CLIMATE PREPAREDNESS,
NATURE CONNECTION: PLAY FOR ALL AGES
Within these 5 stands we will design with citizens a regenerative climate resilient permaculture garden with wildflower meadows, biodiverse year-round planting, selective tree-planting, new habitats, enhance orchard, community plant nursery, new compost system, irrigation, and deliver workshops such as; boxes for bats, birds, Housemartins, water conservation, seed saving, soil structure, arts & crafts with natural resources, bushcraft & Forest School for all ages, herbs for health, foraging & wild edibles, harvesting, storage, preservation, cooking, apple pressing, citizen science, willow weaving and lots more.
